CBSE SYLLABUS FOR CLASS 9
SESSION 2023-24
CBSE offers many additional subjects at Secondary level along with main subjects. In CBSE Curriculum for Class 9 and 10 there are total five subjects including two languages and three main subjects.
The final Annual Exams for Class 9 and Board Class 10 will be carrying 80 marks and 20 Marks will be given for Internal assessment.
COMPULSORY SUBJECTS:
Subject-1 (Language-1): (Hindi Course A or Hindi Course B or English Language &Â Literature)
Subject-2 (Language-2): (Any one language from available Languages in Group-L other than Language-1 selected as subject 1)
Subject-3 (Mathematics)
Subject-4 (Science)
Subject-5 (Social Science)
ADDITIONAL(OPTIONAL) SUBJECTS:
Subject-6:Â Any one from Vocational(Skill) Subjects
Subject-7: Any one from Academic Electives or 3rd Language from Language Group other than Language-1 & 2.

The additional subjects are optional to study. A student can choose 6th and 7th subject as additional subject.
