SYLLABUS FOR UPPER PRIMARY CLASSES
Syllabus for upper primary Class 6, Class 7 and Class 8 is based on curiculum is is prescribed by NCERT and implemented by CBSE.
Teachers, parents’ can download syllabus for Class 6, Class7 and Class 8 from this page. The syllabus is available here in pdf format for all subjects like English, Maths, Science, Social Study, Hindi, Punjabi and Sanskrit.
The syllabus provided here is planned Month wise and Chaper wise, so that it is easy for the teachers to complete the syllabus within given time.
The books for all CBSE schools are prescribed by NCERT. But NCERT books are not compulsory for CBSE schools.

The Section 2.4.7 of CBSE Affiliation Bye Laws states :
“The school may prescribe NCERT textbooks in the classes and subjects in which these have been published by the NCERT. Extra care should be taken in the selection of books of private publishers so that there is no objectionable content that hurts the feeling of any class, community, gender or any religious group in the society.”
