For students who want to take Mathematics in Class-11 and so on:
- As you already know that CBSE Board issued a Circular in 2019 that Class 10 students need to pass Mathematics-Standard exam in order to continuue Maths as a subject in Class 11.
- It was also mentioned that a student who qualifies for Mathematics-Basic would be given an option to appear in Mathematics-Standard exam at the time of Compartment exams if he/she wants to take Maths in Class 11.
- Now, many students are aspiring to appear for Mathematics-Standard exam in the Compartment Examinations so that they can take Maths in Class 11.
- But due to COVID-19 pandemic, there may be delay in Compartment Examinations this year.
- So, CBSE has decided that students who appeared in Mathematics-Basic (Code-241) in Class 10 (2020) main examinations and are desirous to take Mathematics (Code 041) in Class 11 in the session 2020-21 can opt Mathematics in Class 11 only in the Session 2020-21.
- Therefore, it is a big relief to those students who studied Mathematics-Basic in Class 10 and wanted to take Mathematics as a subject in Class 11.
- In other words, whether you studied Basic Maths or Standard Maths, you can study Maths as a subject in Class 11 only during this session (2020-21).
